Ambrosia

The first-ever MTB event on the 18th October 2025 at Ambrosia, Hoedspruit promises a fun-filled day for the whole family. 

From exciting cycling and walk/running activities to a lively Plaas Bazaar, there is something for everyone to enjoy. The fun walk/run is perfect for all ages and is pram and tricycle friendly.

The race winds you through the gorgeous orchards with a mix of farm roads, jeep and single track with a fair amount of sand and climbing. With views of Mariepskop in the distance will add to the beauty of the day. You might even see a giraffe or two on route.

There will be lots to eat and drink so don’t miss out on this action-packed day out.

Cost:

MTB Race (CSA Sanctioned event)

60km – R350.00 (Only riders older than 15 years)

30km – R300.00 (Only riders older than 15 years)

12km – R250.00 (Only riders older than 8 years)

Trail Run (All Ages)

8km - R100.00

15km - R150.00

Fun Walk/Run (All Ages)

5km – R50.00

2.5km – R40.00

BoutTime - Timing/Number Boards will be provided by AboutTime. All boards must be returned at the end of the event.

General Info:

  • Registration from 05:30
  • Open to everyone
  • Helmets are compulsory – No helmet, no ride!
  • CSA License required (Day license can be purchased for R50.00)
  • Categories: Junior U18, Adults 18–39, Masters 40–49, Veterans 50+ (Male & Female)
  • E-bikes are welcome (No prizes for this category)
  • Online entries close 8th October 2025 at 23:00
  • Limited entries will be taken on the day. (Late entry fees apply)
  • Unfortunately no pets allowed.
  • All profits to be given to charity
