This change means that we will start all four distances later than usual to accommodate the later sunrise. The 132km from Nelson Mandela Capture Site at 7:30, the 106km from Pietermaritzburg City Hall at 8:00, the 65km Half Challenge from Cato Ridge at 6:30, and the 40km Family Fun Ride from Hillcrest at 6:30.

If you do not hold the relevant racing licence with Cycling South Africa (CSA) or UCI equivalent racing licence, select the "Open Seeded" entry option in the drop down list.
In order to be eligible for the family discount for the 65km or 38km races, you must have four entrants:
Each entrant is discounted 5% off of their entry fee. As per the above, you must have 4 riders and you must select Family Discount 65km or 38km. On step 4, you can add your additional family members. If you have any difficulties, please call 087 820 7223 during office hours (Mon-Fri 8:30-16:00), or email info@entries.co.za. All riders must reside at the same residence. A maximum of 2 adults.
NB!! There will be no courier service offered by the event organiser for the 2025 event!

Seeding
Cyclists are batched according to the batch they select when entering online. There are 5 options to choose from: School, Family, Tandem, eBike and Open. The 38km ride is NOT timed and you will not be given a timing board.
Temporary Licenses
All cyclists wanting to participate in road cycling events longer than 20km have to have a license, this is in accordance with the Cycling South Africa rules. A day / temporary license costs R50 and will be added to your online entry.
Approach to 38km start
You can access the start from Durban from the N3 Highway. Take the Shongweni off-ramp.
There will be a Drop and Go at Shongweni Club. Please do not leave your vehicle here, please ask your driver to drop you and leave.
