Cycle Lab Schools MTB series KZN 2026
Please note this event is a fun event. Riders will do either as many laps as they can within a set time, or a maximum number of laps dependent on their age category. Lap distances are approx. 2km – 4km long and will vary from venue to venue.
Race day schedule and start times will be shared to riders before the event and communicated on the day.
All riders are to wear their school cycling shirt or PE shirt to race.
*NO HELMET NO RIDE* rule applies and will be strictly enforced.
Riders will ride in their school grouping (Junior/Senior or High School) and there will be designated age categories within the school groupings.
Categories:
Sub Nippers – Born in 2022 / 2021 / 2020 / 2019 / 2018
Nippers – Born in 2017 / 2016
Sprog – Born 2015 / 2014
Sub Junior – Born 2013 / 2012
Youth – Born 2011 / 2010
Junior – Born 2009 / 2008 / 2007
Races cancelled due to bad weather will not be refunded.
Events will be run under School Cycling SA’s rules.
No show, no refunds
Refunds will be at organisers discretion.

23 August - Cycle Lab Schools MTB series KZN race #2 at Howick High
6 September - Cycle Lab Schools MTB series KZN race #3 at Waterfall Schools
13 September - Cycle Lab Schools MTB series KZN race #4 at Maritzburg College

High School events R225 (per event)
Entry for all 4:
Primary School = R630
High School = R810
PRE-ENTRIES CLOSE on Wednesday before the event.
Entry for all 4 closes on the Wednesday before the first event.
LATE ENTRIES:
Late entries will be available on the day but will incur an additional admin fee of R100.
Please note that late entries will not be seeded and will therefore start behind the seeded riders, regardless of previous results.
