Nippers Pre-School
This small Pre-School fundraiser takes you out into the beautiful Eston countryside to the magnificent and scenic Virginia Trails.
Whether you are a racing snake or just a beginner, we will have the trail for you. When you have completed your challenge, you can look forward to hot showers, a bike wash, plenty of delicious food and beverages and great music at the race village. You can sit under the shade of trees or umbrellas and chat about the experiences you had on the day. Every participant has the chance to win the most incredible lucky draw prizes that have been donated by various businesses in KZN. You have a very good chance of going back home a winner.
This years theme is Halloween so dress up, bring the gees and get warmed up for a few of Virginia Trails' famous Chain and Sprockets at the bar. Bring the whole family. U6's ride/run for free. See you there!
The Nippers Classic offers a variety of events for both the MTB and Trail running enthusiasts, from the young to the old. Have a look at our Route Descriptions:
40km MTB (Intermediate) β You are going to love this route. It has a bit of everything. Open wide smooth roads, hills, single track, technical, flat open sections, fast sections, downhills and more. The route goes through stunning scenery, grasslands, indigenous forests, timber plantations, sugar cane fields with many bridges over wetlands and streams.
20km MTB and 18km Trail Run (Intermediate) - this route is always popular and very enjoyable, a little bit of everything. Beautiful indigenous forests, grasslands, timber plantations, 2 dams along route and some incredible scenery. There is a fair share of single track that will test your skills too. This route is very popular.
8km Trail Run and 6km Walk (Easy, some fitness is required) - Both these routes follow the same route as the 20 and 18km routes but turn back earlier. You will enjoy stunning views and a few hills along the way, but you are rewarded with long flat sections, a beautiful dam, and a Sawtooth Oak Forest. This is a fun route on manicured trails.
10km MTB (2x5km laps β Easy) β This route is for the youngsters, the old, the beginners or those with off-road pram to push. Very forgiving but still with lots of beautiful scenery to see. The 5km loops around the race village and gives you the opportunity to continue or pull out if you have had enough at the 5km mark. We suggest the very young are escorted by their parents on this route. It is a perfect test for those looking forward to riding MTBs in the future.
Choose your route carefully to match your ability and fitness level. Rather enjoy your experience, than running into difficulty along the route.
