What inspired you to start riding Enduro?
Most of my closest friends do Enduro so after many years of being anti-enduro I decided to give it a try this year and I’m loving it.
What's your favorite type of terrain to ride on?
I love pine forests with loamy soil, trails that flow through pine trees make me happy.
What's the most challenging trail you've ever ridden?
Thaba Trails Stage 2 2024 Nationals
What's your go-to bike brand and model?
Go to brand is Trek, I have been riding the Fuel but recently upgraded to the Slash
How often do you get out on the trails?
2-4 times a week
Do you prefer solo rides or group outings?
Group rides
What's your favourite post-ride snack or meal?
Coffee
Have you ever had any major crashes or injuries?
Yes, Giba sent me to hospital just last month
How do you prepare for a long ride or race?
I don’t really train for a race, I just train all the time so anything up to 50kms is not really a problem. If I was doing a longer race I would train harder, but they are ridiculously expensive these days.
Do you have a favorite riding buddy or mentor?
Favourite riding buddy would be Fish, mentor would be Ash Nesbitt, he has been riding since the beginning of mountain biking became a thing and he’s a legend
How do you stay hydrated and fueled during a ride?
I just drink water if its less than 30km, if longer will add some snacks like far bars or fruit chews

I’m often leading the ride so it depends what people want to ride

How do you maintain and care for your bike?
I do all my own maintenance and repairs except for the suspension
