When did your love for Enduro start ?

I started riding Enduro 3 years ago and my first introduction to the discipline was the Greg Minnaar rookie enduro series at Cascades.

Where do you like to ride ?

My favourite terrain to ride is jumps and flow lines, but I do enjoy some tech every now and then and try to work on it as much as possible as it’s definitely one of my weaker points.

Any challenging rides you want to share?

The most challenging line I’ve ever ridden was probably the Big Table Line at Hellsend Dirt Compound in Stellenbosch, I wasn’t used to that much air time and found it difficult to build up enough courage to ‘full send’ but it was definitely worth it once I did.

How often are you out on the trails ?

I try to ride as often as I can but it can sometimes be difficult to consistently be out on the trails with school and exams.

Group or Solo rides ?

I would say I love both solo-rides and group-rides, although sometimes I’d say I lean more towards solo rides, I love being just me and the bike, it’s the best way to unwind, especially when I’m a bit stressed out, but there’s nothing like a big shuttle day out with the boys, pure stoke, so yeah I think both have their place.

Any injuries?

Unfortunately I have had a bit too many crashes for my liking, I broke 3 toes earlier this year and got my 3rd concussion a couple weeks ago 🫤Going to try my best to keep it rubber-side down next season.

Who would we spot you with out in the trails ?

I have loads of mates that I love riding with and it’s pretty much impossible to narrow it down to just two but one that definitely sticks out is Brandon Woodroffe, you can’t go on a ride with him without laughing, he’s an absolute maniac on 2 wheels and couldn’t care less about what people thought of him, absolute legend. 😂 My other really close mate is Troy Cole, and he definitely acts as a mentor for me, he’s a way better rider than me and is always showing me lines, hyping me up and helping me with racing and anything to do with riding in general, also an absolute legend.

Your most important Enduro gear ?

My most important piece of gear is definitely my Leatt helmet which has saved me from serious injury countless times.

And your favourite part of Enduro.... ?

My favourite part of Enduro is the post ride banter and comparing stage times with mates.
